Integrity Chamber Provides Information Session on Integrity to SJIS
The Foundation Judicial Institutes Sint Maarten (SJIS) requested an information session from the Integrity Chamber on the importance of integrity. The session took place in December of 2022 and was presented by Integrity Chamber president Rian Vogels, together with staff member Gabi Fuchs.
Information about the Integrity Chamber, as well as about integrity in the workplace, was presented. There was also a specific focus on integrity in the unique context of the SJIS. Furthermore, tips were provided on how to promote and maintain integrity within the organisation.
Mrs. Vogels encouraged the participants to be mindful of their role as representatives of the civil service, in their daily interactions. The session included examples of integrity issues designed to stimulate the perspectives of the participants, offering them the opportunity to share their views. Key areas of interest expressed by the participants related to the tasks of the Integrity Chamber and the strategies that can be used to effectively apply a code of conduct.
The initiative taken by the SJIS to improve integrity within the organisation is commendable. The Integrity Chamber welcomes the opportunity to offer assistance in line with its duties.
