M. C. (Marcolino) Franco

M.C. (Marcolino) Franco is a member and also the president of the Supervisory Council of the Integrity Chamber of St. Maarten. He was appointed by (Kingdom) decree on January 1st, 2023 for a term of 3 years.

Marcolino Franco studied Physical Therapy at the Academy of Physical Therapy in Groningen and Medicine at the University of Groningen.

Mr. Franco has held various public roles within the Kingdom. He served in Curacao as an Island Council member, as Commissioner for General Affairs and Political Structure, and as President of Parliament. He also served as Government Commissioner of Interior Affairs and Kingdom Relations (B.Z.K.) in St. Eustatius. Additionally, Mr. Franco was a director of physical therapy practices for over 30 years.

Marcolino Franco was the Chairman of the Association of Physical Therapists Curacao, as well as the Curacao Empowerment Foundation, with the objective to empower the citizens of Curacao.

Currently Mr. Franco is enjoying his retirement and occasionally substitutes for his colleagues as a physiotherapist.
